PETAL & STEM ANNUAL REPORT

EDITORIAL DESIGN

The objective was to create an annual report that matched the core values of the company, Petal & Stem.

PROCESS

I took photography outside of any plants and flowers to fit the brand of Petal & Stem. I also took a photo of a classmate for our original Petal & Stem spread. After, I edited them with a pink hue to make each image match the colour scheme I wanted for the report. The illustrations were made in Adobe Illustrator and imported into InDesign to create the final spreads.

FINAL RESULT

Each spread had a hand-drawn illustration to give a sense of movement and elegance. To reinforce the feeling of movement, the illustrations stretch from page to page and pop through the images. This gives a focal point and high contrast. The text has a typographic hierarchy where each section is visually appealing and readable.
